Lending her voice with millions of others globally to demand justice for the late singer, Mohbad, actress Kemi Afolabi-Adesipe shared her perspective on family dynamics, emphasising that family goes beyond blood relations.
She expressed strong opinions about some fathers whom she described as cruel and unkind, levying serious allegations against her own father.
The filmmaker recounted an incident where she was allegedly abandoned in a hospital by her father, with the apparent intention of letting her die to facilitate the maltreatment of her mother.
This revelation came as she reacted to the passing of singer Mohbad and the controversies surrounding his death, as well as his father’s hurried decision regarding burial arrangements, for reasons not disclosed.
Afolabi-Adesipe highlighted the presence of fathers who, driven by jealousy and malice, display wickedness, a sentiment she could personally relate based on her own experiences.
She wrote: “FAMILY IS NOT BY BLOOD ONLY OOO, MY PEOPLE hmmmmmmm. That’s how my supposed father abandoned me at the hospital to die so that he can come around to bully my mother as he has always done since I was a child.
“But God said it wasn’t my time to die. There are wicked, jealous and heartless fathers, I can confirm. Story for another day. #Justice4Mohbad.”
