Alhaji Azeez Kolade, the Aare Musulumi of Ilobu land, has appeal to the people of Ifon and Ilobu in Orolu and Irepodun Local Government Areas of Osun to find amicable resolution in solving the crisis rocking the both towns and allow peace to reign.
Alhaji Kolade said it’s pertinent for the two communities to put an end to the crisis that had resulted to destruction of properties, killings and maiming of several persons since the crisis started, adding that it’s better to gives rooms for peaceful resolution than resort to violence.
This was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen, where he commiserated with the families and relatives of those who lost their lives to the violence and also sympathised with those who lost their property.
Aare Musulumi of Ilobuland describes peace as an integral ingredient for the development of any society, emphasizing on the need to come to the round table for dialogue and resolution than to resort to violence in whatever circumstance . He added that God knows why the two towns Ifon and Ilobu destined to border each other.
He maintained that people of the two communities must stop the fight permanently, forget their differences and continue to live together as brothers and sisters by continually taking maximum advantage of their unity and togetherness.
He acknowledged the efforts of the state government in taken drastic steps to forestall the crises by imposing curfew in the two communities as well as security agencies for their steadfastness.
While appealing to the security agencies deployed to the communities not to be bias in discharging of their duties also charged the people in the two towns to obey the curfew imposed by the state governor as no one is above the law.
He called on the traditional leaders of the two communities and other traditional rulers in the state to intervene on the matter in resolving the crises by gives rooms for dialogue in order to restore peace and harmony to the land.
He called on religious bodies to be praying fervently for the peace to reign in the two communities.
