A former deputy governor of Oyo State, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun and some members of his family have been displaced as a result of an explosion that rocked Ibadan on Tuesday.

DAILY POST authoritatively gathered that Oladokun and his family members are currently being housed by a friend.

It could be recalled that an explosion rocked Ibadan on Tuesday evening.

A close associate of the former deputy governor, in a short statement obtained by DAILY POST, said his house was affected by the explosion.

“The house of the former deputy governor of Oyo State is located in the area where the incident occurred.

“It is close to the building where the explosion occurred. They have vacated the house,” the source said.

Our correspondent also gathered that the home of the former Attorney General of the Federation, late Chief Bola Ige was also affected.

Another source added that the houses of some staff members of the University of Ibadan were affected.
