The candidate of the Social Democratic Party for Osun Central Senatorial District, Otunba Solomon Ayotunde Babatunde (OSAB) on Friday stated that he is in the race to salvage the future of the district and its people from those he described “Visionless politicians”.
Otunba Ayotunde stated this in a statement issued by his media office and obtained by Insight Media in Osogbo on Friday.
He said that his experience in Osun politics has shown that there is a need to rescue the district from clueless politicians who according to him has nothing to offer the people of the senatorial district.
He added that his mission at the Senate is to be the voice of overall development and youth advancement in the constituency and country at large.
The statement reads in part, “The involvement of Otunba Solomon Ayotunde Babatunde in the senatorial race of Osun Central is borne out of his passion to salvage the future of the district from the visionless and clueless politicians who have brought no development to the constituency in the past 20 years.
“Otunba Ayotunde has been in the political space of the state for years and has in the years garnered the required experience, knowledge and wisdom needed to take the zone the greater heights as he remains the best for the job.”
The statement also urged the SDP supporters and loyalists to shun the anti-party activities being perpetrated by some elements who he described as an opportunists in the party.
