Popular TikTok star Terryon Thomas, known to his 4.3 million followers as “Mr Prada,” has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of William Abraham, a 69-year-old therapist from Louisiana.

Thomas, 20, was arrested in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday after he was allegedly spotted driving Abraham’s stolen vehicle.

The body of Mr Abraham was discovered wrapped in a blue tarp on Sunday along US Highway 51 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Police later determined that he died from blunt force trauma to the head, describing his death as “very physical, very violent.”

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Thomas has also been charged with obstruction of justice. He is currently in custody in Dallas, awaiting extradition to Louisiana.

“This is an ongoing investigation that will take time to gather further evidence,” said Casey Hicks, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. “I hope that this arrest may bring some closure and assurance to friends and family.”

Police said surveillance footage allegedly captured Thomas driving Abraham’s vehicle, and witnesses reportedly saw him dragging “an object wrapped in a blue-coloured tarp” into the car a day before Abraham’s body was discovered.

A search of Thomas’ Baton Rouge apartment uncovered evidence of a violent altercation, including a significant amount of blood and unspecified weapons.

While the nature of the relationship between the two men remains unclear, Mr Abraham’s obituary described him as a “licensed professional counsellor, motivational speaker, recording artist, author, and teacher,” who had previously served as a Catholic priest.

Thomas, a well-known figure on TikTok, gained popularity for his content focused on school, relationships, and trends, which resonated with his predominantly Gen Z audience. (Aganecy Report)
