The Ilobu-Asake Development Union has announced the suspension of the 2024 Ilobu Day Celebration following the sudden demise of Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, a renowned member of the Union.

According to Pastor Olufemi Salako, IDU National President, Lagbaja’s death is a significant loss, as his leadership and service were greatly needed. The community finds solace in his lasting legacy of gallantry, diligence, and commitment to Nigeria.

In light of this tragic event, the National Executive of IDU has suspended all ongoing activities related to the 2024 Ilobu Day Celebration until further notice. A new date for the event will be announced later.
