Popular actress, Ayo Adesanya has offered crucial advice to young girls navigating the allure of quick money, especially during the festive period.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, she emphasised the importance of caution, asserting that many parents have failed to guide their children properly, leading them astray.
“Many of us who ought to be mentors for children have taught them terrible things. To the young girls, it is not everything that your parents will teach you but know that many of what you see online is fake.”
She further warned against the dangers of pursuing fast cash through risky avenues, saying, “Young girls need to know that there is no easy money out there. With the kind of economic meltdown in the world, one can barely give you anything for free. To those engaging in hookups for fast cash, just know that if he is not collecting your destiny, he is grooming you for something. One needs to tread with caution and be very prayerful,” she stated.
Beyond her advice to young girls, Adesanya lamented the dwindling opportunities in the film industry due to the reduction of reliable streaming platforms.
“It is a very painful situation because some of us did not get a chance to work with some of these platforms and they already closed that window. With what is happening right now, I believe that people would put their heads together and come up with an Indigenous streaming platform that will be beneficial to all”
Reflecting on her year, Adesanya ex
“The year has not ended yet but it has been a beautiful year for me. God has been so good to me but I am still expecting more good things.”
She also shared her excitement about trying new roles stating, “I tried a new character recently when I played a security officer. I really liked it and I look forward to watching it. This year, I worked with many people. Most of my movies were very challenging but I enjoyed them. Some would be out next year and I cannot wait to also watch them.”
