The Tobest Liberation Movement and Empowerment Initiative (TLM) marked a major milestone on Sunday, December 15, 2024, as it celebrated its Maiden Anniversary and hosted a fundraising for future activities.
The event was held at the Nana Event Center, Kelebe Area, Osogbo.
The occasion, themed “Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives,” brought together stakeholders from all walks of life to celebrate the achievements of TLM and raise support for its impactful empowerment programs.
The anniversary celebration was a blend of purpose and festivity, featuring the official launch of empowerment initiatives for over 100 beneficiaries, including youths, women, widows, and persons living with disabilities. Plans for expanded medical outreach programs also took center stage, underscoring TLM’s commitment to addressing critical societal needs.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries, including traditional rulers, political leaders, corporate sponsors, and philanthropists.
The Royal Father of the Day, the Mother of the Day, and the Father of the Day added an air of prestige to the gathering, while the Chief Launcher made significant contributions to the success of the fundraiser.
The Chief Host and Convener of TLM, Comrade Hassan Owolabi, in his address, highlighted the power of unity and collective action in creating lasting societal change. He also used the occasion to unveil TLM’s ambitious roadmap for 2025, focusing on skill acquisition, financial aid, and expanded healthcare initiatives.
One of the highlights of the event was the fundraising drive, which garnered impressive support toward the ₦50 million target. Funds raised will go directly toward implementing TLM’s empowerment projects aimed at fostering self-reliance and improving the standard of living for underprivileged groups across the state.
The event also featured testimonials from past beneficiaries, showcasing the tangible impact of TLM’s programs. Attendees were further inspired by motivational speeches from experts in youth development, entrepreneurship, and healthcare innovation.
