Aftermath of 10pm Inauguration, Security, Obaseki’s Supporters Besiege Edo Assembly Complex (Photos)

Following the 10pm inauguration of nine members and elections of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly by the Clerk of the assembly, security agents and supporters of the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki have laid siege to the assembly complex.

The siege is understood to be a calculated attempt to prevent the remaining members-elect from taking over the complex.

Members loyal to the erstwhile governor and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole are the ones who were shut out of the complex during the arranged inauguration.

InsightMedia has earlier reported a political that occurred late on Monday as nine out of twenty four members-elect stormed the assembly complex to do inauguration and election of presiding officers.
