As renovation of buildings almost completed

The Air Force Institute of Technology, School of Basic and Remedial studies will in October kick off in Osogbo, Osun State capital, InsightMedia has learnt.

The institute will commence operations at the designated buildings donated by the Osun State government to the Nigerian Air Force inside Osogbo Grammar School in Osogbo.

Speaking with InsightMedia on the commencement of the academic activities and mode of application, a source familiar said the advertisement will be placed on the national newspapers for interested Nigerians to apply.

“Academic activities will kick off in October. We will advertise processes of admission and requirements, while application shall also be online. But we’re starting by October at our temporary site inside Osogbo Grammar School,” the source said.

InsightMedia also visited the site where our Correspondent met the State Commissioner for Works and Transports, Engr Remi Omowaiye who was at the site to inspect the ongoing renovation.

Omowaiye said the State government under Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has always been ready to bring development to the State and is harnessing all possible resources to uplift Osun.

He said, “Our government under Governor Oyetola has continued to harness resources to uplift Osun State. The state government is committed to partnering in project that will bring development to Osun. This is one of them.

“Apart from offering quality education to Osun people, the institute will surely boost the economy of our State and this is why the government donated unused structures inside Osogbo Grammar School for the Institute. You can see the renovation is at the top gear. Academic activities is expected to commence soon.”

It will be recalled that Osun State handed over the unused structures inside Osogbo Grammar School to the Air Force about a year ago and renovation commenced recently.
