ASUU Suspends 3-month old Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has suspended the three month old industrial action embarked upon by its members.

President of the Union, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi disclosed this while addressing journalists in Abuja on Thursday.

He said the union reached the decision after series of meetings with the Federal government team headed by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.

He warned the FG not to renege the Memorandum of Action (MoA) signed, adding that the union will resume the strike action of the FG does.

Members of the union across the nation are directed to resume duties from 12:00hours on Friday, February 8, 2019.
