BREAKING: Days after Elende of Eko-Ende, another traditional ruler dies in Osun

 

Barely a week after the demise of Elende of Eko-Ende, another traditional ruler in Osun State, the Olokinni of Okinni land in Egbedore local government area, Oba Akadiri Okanola has joined his ancestors.

Oba Okanola joined died late on Saturday at an undisclosed hospital in Osogbo, the State capital.

A Former Chairman of Egbedore Area Council, Okinni, Mr Saheed Opatunji announced the death of the monarch on his Facebook page.

Sources within the Palace of Olokinni also confirmed the death of Oba Okanola to InsightMedia.

He spent 32 years on throne as he was installed in 1991.

He will be buried according to Islamic rites later today.

InsightMedia recalled that Oba Rauf Olaniyan, the Elende of Eko-Ende died on Sunday night after a brief illness.
