President Muhammadu Buhari congratulates with Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum NGF)

Buhari in a statement released to the Public on Friday by Femi Adeshina, Special Adviser to the President, urging AbdulRazaq to give his best in providing leadership.

The statement reads “I believes the Governor of Kwara State will further improve relations, tighten policy issues, and provide more opportunities for growth among states, and the Federal Government, considering his antecedents in business and government” he said.

Insight Media recalled that Governor Abdulrazaq emerged the new Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) on Wednesday to replaced Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State whose tenure of office would elapse on May 29 and Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State, vice chairman of the forum.

Buhari also rejoices with governors for the maturity and stability of the NGF over the years, especially in electing new leaders, and the significant role it plays in stimulating discussions on development, promoting democracy, and counseling political leaders on service to the nation.

He wishes AbdulRazaq the very best on the new assignment.
