New Chelsea manager, Graham Potter

Chelsea Football Club have announced Graham Potter as their new Head Coach, joining them on a five-year contract.

The new manager, who was appointed on a 5years deal just 24hours after the sack of the former manager Thomas Tuchel, is expected to bring his progressive football and innovative coaching to the club.

Recording his previous achievements, Potter has spent time at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he achieved that club’s highest-ever league finish last season, earning  praise for his winning brand of football on the south coast, while proving flexible in tactics and formations to be a step ahead of opponents.

Together with Graham Potter at Chelsea are his assistant Billy Reid, first-team coaches Bjorn Hamberg and Bruno, goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts and assistant head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay.

On making the move to Stamford Bridge, Potter said: ‘I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea FC, this fantastic football club. I am very excited to partner with Chelsea’s new ownership group and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of’.

He also appreciated Brighton&Hove Albion,players,staffs and all their supporters during his time at the club and for giving him the opportunity to progress in his career.

The Chairman of Chelsea Football Club Todd Boehly, said ‘We are thrilled to bring Graham to Chelsea. He is a proven coach and an innovator in the Premier League who fits our vision for the Club”.

Potter is going to have his first game in charge as Chelsea football club manager in the west London derby on Saturday against Fulham FC.
