Clerics Hold Special Prayer For Peaceful General Elections

The league of Imams and Alfas in Irewole local government areas on Thursday organized a special prayer session to supplicate the Almight Allah to grant the nation peace before, during and after the general elections.

The prayer was held at Ikire Eid praying ground.

Led by the Chief Imam of Ikire land, Sheik Mohammed Sabuki Raji, the clerics also used the medium to pray for the emergence of candidates of the All Progressives Congress.

They also prayed to God to grant the incumbent administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola wisdom and knowledge required to take the state of Osun to a greater height.

Dignitaries who graced the event included The Deputy Governor State of Osun Mr Gboyega Alabi, Hon Bola Oyebamiji, the former Commissioner for Finance in Osun state, APC Chairman in Irewole local government, Mr Arimiyahu Owoade, a member of State House of Assembly in Irewole Isokan, Hon Asifahu Omotuntun amongst others.
