A youth political hub in Osun State — Congress of Progressives Youth (COPY) — has appealed to all actors, stakeholders and members of Osun State Chapter of All Progressives Congress to embrace peace and work in unity as the party sets to hold State Congress tomorrow.
This is contained in a release made available by the General Secretary of the group, Com. Ibrahim Wasiu Olalekan.
The group noted with concern, how some external elements are wishing and praying for division within the party through the Congress.
Olalekan therefore said it was imperative for the party to rise in unison to put their house in order and shame the evil wishers.
“As the Osun State Chapter of All Progressives Congress goes to the poll to elect her State officers tomorrow, we urge the party stakeholders and members to eschew violence, rancour and unnecessary tension. Instead, they should embrace dialogue, brotherhood and healthy compromise for the overall benefit of all members of the party in particular and the State in general.”
The group advised all the parties to the ongoing rancour to remember the progressive bond that put the party together since the beginning of this Fourth Republic. It is when such bond is sustained that each and everyone will continue to benefit from both the party and the Government.
The release concluded by wishing the party a hitch-free and successful Congress on Saturday.
