Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu has revealed how he was chased with money to support the lawmakers-elect to take over the house in order to impeach the governor, Godwin Obaseki.

Shaibu, who is a former Majority leader of the Edo state house of assembly, accused the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole of asking him to join hands with the yet to be inaugurated lawmakers to impeach the governor and make him (Shaibu) the governor.

He revealed this in a video trending on social media.

Addressing the some journalists, Shaibu said he was asked Oshiomhole what the offence of Obaseki is, only to be told “flimsy reasons”.

Speaking further, the former president of National Association of Nigerian Students accused former APC Chairman of tyranny and oppression.

He said, “Oshiomhole wants me to betray Godwin. And I told him that if I didn’t betray him when he was NLC president and I was NANS president, if u didn’t betray him when he was governor and people wanted to impeach him, I will not betray the cause of this government led by Obaseki.

“Obaseki is doing well. I told him that all the projects that he started are continued by us. I don’t know what he wants but I won’t betray Obaseki.”

Shaibu also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to call Oshiomhole to order, adding that the former governor has been laundering money around.

“I call on President Muhammadu Buhari to use the same method he used to checkmate Ibrahim Magu to checkmate Oshiomhole too as he been laundering money to buy supports. He gave three lawmakers dirty million naira each to buy them.”
