The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources, Hon. OlubukolaOyewo has enjoined Muslim faithfuls in his constituency and the country to imbibe the qualities of Prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions.
Oyewo, who is a lawmaker representing Irepodun/ Olorunda/Orolu/ Osogbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said this on Monday in a press briefing in his Osogbo Office.
He emphasised the need for Muslim faithfuls to embrace peace, unity, honesty, endurance and perseverance as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad during his life time.
Tha lawmaker used the occasion to call on Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and prosperity in the country, stressing that, without peace there will be no development and prosperity.
He commended the strides of Federal Government in the fight against insecurity and other vices threatening the corporate existence of the country.
He described the federal government’s border-closure initiative, agricultural initiative and social investment programme as laudable while calling on Nigerians to key into them for prosperity.
Oyewo further reiterated his commitment to the good representation of his constituents, and promised that various life-changing projects and programmes will kick-start in due course.
He appreciated their steadfastness and zeal towards the continued progress of the constituency.
