The Member representing Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has felicitated with all Muslims in his constituency, Osun state and the country at large on the celebration of the 2021 Eid-l-Kabir festival.

Oyewo made this known in a press statement signed by him on Monday, in Osogbo.

He congratulated the Muslim faithful and enjoined all Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation.

Oyewo who is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources said “I admonished Nigerians to shun hate speeches and divisive tendencies and join hands with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to build a peaceful, strong and united Nigeria so as to achieve the next level of socio-economic development.”

While extending his message of hope to all Muslim faithfuls, he commended the spirit of togetherness, oneness and peaceful coexistence exhibited during the festivity, saying that, it is only in an atmosphere of peace devoid of political, ethnic and religious acrimony that Nigeria could achieve the desired greatness.

He urged all Spiritual Leaders and Traditional Rulers to use the occasion of the Eid-El-Kabir to spread the message of peace and unity especially at this critical time in Nigeria’s history where different interest groups are clamouring for disintegration of Nigeria.

The Ifon-Orolu-born politician reaffirmed the determination of the Federal Government to protect the lives and property of all citizens.

Oyewo restated government’s desire to elevate the lives of all Nigerians. He urged them to be inspired by the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to live a life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.

He implored the citizens of Osun State to support President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Gboyega Oyetola in other to achieve a successful tenure in their respective offices.
