Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress,APC, has assured Nigerians that he will fulfill all of his commitment to the fulfillment of his campaign promises if elected president of Nigeria in the February 25 election.

Tinubu disclosed this on Sunday at an endorsement rally organised by the Arewa Community in Lagos.

The event was held at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan witnessed the presence of Nigerians of Northern extraction who came to offer their support to the former Lagos State Governor.

The former Governor reiterated that his respect for Nigeria will continue to increase, he will honour all his pledges, so Nigeria can live once again in peace and harmony. “We belong in each other’s hearts,” he said.

He also assured all that his government would be for the people irrespective of their tribes and faith.

“I have always taken a patriotic and detribalized stance in politics, ever since I entered the field. I make no comparisons based on religion, region, or ethnicity. I have friends and business partners all over this nation.

 

“As governor of Lagos State, I hired a team of capable individuals from across Nigeria for my cabinet. In addition to the Igbo and Arewa, we also had the Yoruba. I cared more about your competence and the value you would add to governance and the general welfare of the populace than I did about your race or religious beliefs. I have declared my candidacy for president in an effort to repeat this accomplishment for the nation, he said.

Concerning his plans for the North, Tinubu promised to tackle the security challenges being experienced across the country, stating that the economy cannot thrive in an insecure environment.

“If elected president, my highest priorities will be the protection of our land and the prosperity of its people. I shall tackle this nation’s problems with a commitment to solving them.

“I promised to revive road and rail infrastructure for the ease of movement of people and cargo, among other interventions.

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje described Tinubu as “a symbol of unity, a product of unity in diversity. He is the right person to be endorsed by Arewa and the best for the presidency.”

The Chairman, Arewa Community APC, Alhaji Saadu Yusuf Gulma Dandare, lauded Tinubu for his stewardship while serving as governor of Lagos state, assuring that Nigeria would be a better place under his presidency.
