Imo confers Chieftaincy title on Liberian President Sirleaf

The Council of Traditional Rulers in Imo State has conferred the title of “ADA DI OHA NMA”.on the Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
In the glamouring event presided over by the Chairman of the Council, Eze Samuel Ohiri at the palace of Eze Imo were President Sirleaf, Governor Rochas Okorocha, his wife, Nneoma and other Senior government functionaries.

The Chairman of the Council stated that President Sirleaf was considered for the award because of her brilliant role in ensuring that peace reign in her country.
He said that it was a way to encourage her and other African women who have contributed to the development of Africa, especially the education of indigent African children, adding that she has done Africa proud .
