Inauguration: There will be no mercy for political thugs planning disruption – Osun CP


Ahead of the inauguration ceremony of the Governor Elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke as the next governor of Osun state, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olaleye Sunday Faleye has disclosed that all security agencies in Osun State are ready to deal with “political miscreants” who are threatening to disrupt the inauguration process on November 27.

Olaleye, who is chairman of the Joint Security Council, revealed this on Tuesday while he led other heads of Security agencies to the Osogbo Township Stadium to inspect after a meeting at his office, led other Head of Security to Osogbo Township Stadium, on Tuesday to inspect the facilities and map out strategies for the day.

In an Interview with Insight Media, the Osun Commissioner of Police stated, “We have heard a lot of rumours and  misinformation ,that the programme may be disrupted, thugs are coming in to take the pack by force, burn party offices, tear posters, We just want to warn them,they should not dare us, and anyone who wants to ferment trouble will have themselves to blame”.

“We are aware that there are thug forces and we’ve met with the Executives of the two Party and they’ve assured us that nothing will distort Sunday’s programme”, he said.

“But the third party spreading misinformation, but we are equal to that task, as we have discussed in the meeting , we have mapped out our plans, We just want to sound a note of warning, nobody should dare us”, he added.

However, he appealed to mothers and fathers at home, to warn their wards. He said “its not a business as usual ,we know our jobs and Osun State deserves better security architecture and we’ve put that in place.

He encouraged Law abiding citizens to approach the stadium to watch the beauty of the inauguration.

Insight Media reports that the Senator Ademola Adeleke won the July 16th gubernatorial election and will be inaugurated on the 27th of November 2022, at Osogbo Township Stadium, Osogbo.
