Former world heavyweight champions, Wladimir Klitschko, has congratulated Anthony Joshua, over his win over Carlos Takam last weekend .

It took Joshua 10 rounds to technically knock out Takam, in his fourth world title defence at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday.

Klitschko, who himself was floored by Joshua in the 11th round in front of 90,000 fans in April, simply tweeted on Monday morning: “Congrats Champ and keep on punching!”

The 41-year-old Ukrainian has retired from the sport.

He held various titles in a glorious 21-year career which started as a professional after winning Olympic gold at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.
