There was a mild drama at the Osun State House of Assembly on Monday as lawmakers stood down the plenary session during the screening of nominees for Judicial Service Commission.
The drama started when the Lawmaker representing Ejigbo state constituency, Hon. Israel Oyekunle said he doesn’t know a nominee from his Constituency, Adebayo Waliu Salmon.
The speaker, Timothy Owoeye, who was presiding over the plenary ruled that the house should go on an hour break for the nominee to reappear before it.
Sources within the house said the nominee was asked by the speaker to meet with the Lawmaker from his Constituency and resolve differences before the house reconvenes.
Salmon was among the nominees sent to the house by the Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola for confirmation into the state judicial commission.
