More women in Kwara State were on Friday given N10,000 each during the disbursement of micro grants to rural women in Afon and Pake. The women were at the venue on record time and displayed high sense of civility.

According to a statement by Kayode Oyin-Zubair, the Chairman of Kwara State Micro Grants for Rural Women, N10 million was disbursed to each of the local government area across the state.

He said, “On this day, N10m was disbursed to each of the local government areas to make a total of N20m. As it stands today, we have N60m injected into our local economies through neither salaries nor loans in less than a week. Expectedly another N100m will be injected in the coming days as a support to strengthen local communities and rural women.”

“Meanwhile, it will be the turn of women in Offa and Oyun local governments to receive their grants on Saturday. Women are encouraged to come to the venue with their beneficiary identification cards, any other means of identification and ensure their cards are not exchanged.

“The AbdulRazaq administration is not paying lips service to the development of our rural communities in the State.”
