Mohammed Salah’s second minute penalty and Divock Origi’s 87th minute strike were all what Liverpool needed to win the most coveted cup in the European football in Madrid on Saturday.

Liverpool beat their English rivals, Tottenham two goal to nil in all first all-Premier league UEFA Champions League final since Manchester United and Chelsea in 2008.

Salah converted from the spot after Moussa Sissoko used hand to stop a Saido Mane’s cross in the second  minutes to score the second fastest goal in the history of the competition.

The Spurs dominated the encounter after but could not get a clear chance until late in the second half through Son.

Son called the Reds goalkeeper, Allison Becker to action twice in the space of a minute in the second. But the goalie responded well to the challenges.

Origi left the bench in the second to replace Roberto Firminho who had largely be anonymous on the pitch but the Belgian repeated what he did to Barcelona in the much-talk about comeback during the semi final.

Mouricho Pochettino’s were devastated after the final whistle as they couldn’t pull one back.
