Eligible voters of all ages, on Saturday morning came out to cast their votes for the candidates of their choice into the Osun state house of Assembly.
As happy as the electorates were when they came out , their turnout particularly at Ward 10 polling unit 2, Dada Estate of Egbedore local government was no unimpressive according to what this reporter met on ground .
The story was the same at Ward 10, unit 16 where eligible voters on the queue were very short of expectations.
There was an element of apathy displayed by people in coming out to cast their ballots as at the time this reporter got to Irepodun local government, Osogbo local and some parts of Ede South local government areas.
The early arrival of election materials was however applauded by majority of the voters who said INEC has lived up to their expectations.
With officials of the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) readily available at the polling units,it made the simultaneous accreditation and voting procedures to very fast and orderly .
The exercise was again greeted with appreciable number of security agents to ensure peaceful conduct of the election, notwithstanding the high level of voter’s apathy.
