NYCN Osun holds 2021 annual General Meeting, sets agenda for Q1 2022

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Osun State Chapter under the chairmanship of Comrade Amb. Abdulazeez Ismail Abiodun held her annual General Meeting/get together party to mark the end of the 2021 and to set agenda for the new year.

The meeting, held at the State Secretariat (Osun Youth House) Testing Ground area, Osogbo on Sunday 26th of December, 2021, had delegates from affiliated organisations, local government branches and other stakeholders in attendance.

At the event the Chairman did review of the Council’s activities and events for the year 2021 as members were appreciated for the continuous support, understanding and tolerance despite the challenges witness in the ending year. Members were also charged to be more supportive as that will further substantiate the aims and objectives of the Council in the State.

The Council also inaugurated three different committees who were charged to execute the 2022 first quarter activities of the Council ranging from Organising leadership training committee, voter’s/election education Committee and campaign against Social Vices committee.

The Committee were put in place to further engaged the citizen of Osun as the State is at its pick of electioneering were the citizens needs to understand their roles in governance and in the selection of elected officers, however with the alarming state of various social vices it is also of need to put up efforts to discourage adolescents and youth willing to join cultism among other social vices hoping it’ll be profitable for them during the electioneering period.

In his final remark, Amb. Abdulazeez appreciated some sponsors for their support towards a successful, fun and entertaining 2021 get together.
