A daughter of former Governor Adekunle Ajasin and former Governorship aspirant in the last Governorship Election in Ondo state, Mr Jumoke Anifowose, has raised the alarm over alleged threat to her life by chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governorship aspirant of the APC said the threat was because she insisted on seeking legal redress over the outcome of the party’s primaries won by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu .

She was on Wednesday suspended from the APC in Igboroko Ward 2 of Owo Local Government for alleged anti-party activities.

Speaking to reporters, Anifowose alleged that some APC chieftains in the state wanted to kill her because of the case she filed.

She said: “They are after my life. I have been warned to stay away from the state for now. They are planning to assassinate me. They know if I die the case will die.

“They have come to beg me. It was when I refused that they began the plan to get rid of me. But their plans have been exposed. I know all of them. Nothing can stop me from pursuing the case to a logical conclusion. I am going to the Appeal Court and Akeredolu will lose.”

Anifowose dismissed her suspension from the party.

She said she only read it in the social media and denied being involved in anti-party activities.

“I was not suspended. I did not involve in any anti-party activity. I am an APC member. I contributed so much to the party. It is what I built upon that all of them are benefitting from today in the party.”

APC state Chairman Mr. Ade Adetimehin said the issue was an internal affairs of the party that would soon be resolved.

“There is no crisis in our party. There may be misunderstanding among us, but it shall be resolved soon. I won’t engage anybody in media assault.”
