As part of its moves to evangelize the gospel of good governance and to sell the second term ambition of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to the people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency, the Akosile Progressive Vanguard last week toured round all the wards in both Obokun and Oriade local government areas (LGAs).
The group, which is founded and sponsored by the House of Representatives Aspirant in the federal constituency, Engr. Olufemi Akosile, met with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the zone with a mission to preach unity among party members in the state.
The team, which was well received by party members in all the wards, used the opportunity to interact with the residents of the federal constituency to know what their priorities are and how the government has performed so far, with several respondents commending Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his unprecedented approach to Governance.
Some of the leaders met during the five-day tour included chairmen of all wards, party leaders, community leaders, market women and youth groups in both Obokun and Oriade LGAs.
Addressing the party members, the personal assistant (PA) to Engr. Olufemi Akosile and a leader of the Akosile Progressive Vanguard team, Mr. Abidemi Omirin, at every point highlighted the importance of unity within the party, stating that the time to commence grassroots mobilization for re-election of Governor Oyetola is now.
Abidemi charged the executive members at ward levels to commence the grassroot work now, adding that only with Oyetola’s victory that everyone and the state at large will progress.
“It is time for us to come together and start grassroots mobilization for re-election of Governor Oyetola. The present administration has done a good job and our Principal, Engr. Olufemi Akosile has mandated us to start moving from ward to ward in Obokun and Oriade LGAs to start evangelizing the gospel of good governance and that of Oyetola 4+4.
“At Akosile Progressive Vanguard, we believe that only Oyetola’s victory in 2022 can take Osun to the promise land. Also, only his victory can help all of us achieve our dreams in 2023 and beyond. We will ensure that Ijesa North Federal Constituency is delivered to APC and Oyetola in 2022.”
Abidemi urged the party excos at each ward to work for unity of the party. He also asked for feedback on the administration and what they want the government to do for their people, stating that “Governor Gboyega Oyetola is the most listening Governor in the world.”
While responding, the Chairman of APC ward 4 Iwoye/Ere in Oriade LGA, Hon. Olowookere Abiodun emphasized on the unity within the party. He urged everyone to work for the progress of the party and victories for all its candidates.

Also speaking, Hon. Ajayi Olatunbosun, who spoke on behalf of other ward executives of ward 4, Obokun LGA, commended Engr. Olufemi Akosile for all his activities towards strengthening the party through various laudable programs. Olatunbosun assured that the ward that he leads is one and they are solidly behind Governor Oyetola.
“Let me assure you that the party in our ward is one and we are solidly behind Governor Oyetola. I also appreciate Engr. Akosile for all he is doing to strengthen the party in both Obokun and Oriade LGAs and we are ready to support his vision. We have no choice but to ensure that Governor Oyetola is re-elected come 2022.” Olatunbosun said.
