The special adviser to Osun state Governor on Political affairs, Honourable Sunday Akere, has made it known that Governor Gboyega Oyetola is fully ready for reconciliation but their current conditions are not acceptable neither are they reasonable.
Akere said this while featuring on political programme on Insight Links TV Friday in Osogbo, the State capital.
The Former Commissioner for Information said that members of the Ilerioluwa group are ready for reconciliation but The Osun Progressives must come with conditions that are reasonable.
“None of those conditions is reasonable. We can never accept such. Gboyega Famodun was elected by over 95% of the APC members. So you can’t insist he must be removed. Governor Gboyega Oyetola was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari into the caretaker committee and you remember, recently that APC Governors’ Forum passed vote of confidence on him.
“Also, Senator Ajibola Basiru was elected by people of Osun Central and he’s doing the wishes of his people. Can we now say he must be removed for following the wishes of his people? Those conditions are not reasonable and will never be acceptable.” Akere said.
He continued by describing the Governor as a peaceful being who is a father to all and someone that is very straight in all his doing. The sun on the sky is sufficient to dry cloths”.
“Mr Governor is a father to all and his arms are open,because it is a child that raises up his arms,that the father will carry. But we need to appeal to them (TOP) members to leave and join the party they want to work for, rather than staying inside the house and throwing stones at us”, Akere added.
He didn’t fail to recounts all the good works of Oyetola ever since he has been elected, ranging from security, prompt payment og salaries and pensions, economy among others.
