The Osun State chapter has set up a disciplinary committee to look into alleged negligence of duty and abscondment of some of its state officials since October 2020.

Chairman of the party, Sunday Bisi, while inaugurating the 7-man committee on Thursday, said the action of the party officials is a “wicked disservice” to the party.

The party had recently issued queries to the officials involved to come forward to explain why they have not been discharging their duties as expected. However, it seems not response has been received from those affected.

Bisi said, “The PDP as a political organization, is predicated on the rule of law, in line with the constitution of our country. This constitution as a matter of fact, is tailored towards entrenching discipline in tandem with goals and objectives of the party. A party inching to rescue our dear state for instance, cannot afford to condone wanton indiscipline.

Therefore, all of us saddled with the responsibilities of one office or the other are expected to discharge those functions as a matter of duty. Any action or inaction contrary to this is a wicked disservice to our party which will no longer be tolerated

In the light of this and furtherance to the query issued the concerned officials, a disciplinary Committee is hereby Inaugurated for further actions. Members of the Committee are mandated to act in line with the relevant provisions of our party constitution without fear or favor.

Members of the Disciplinary Committee are: Barrister Jola Akintola (Chairman), Hon Akin Ajetunmobi, Barrister Hashim Abioye , Barrister Taofeek Olayiwola, Hon Moshood Yakub, Alhaji Liadi Gbadamosi, and Hon Kola Adewusi.
