Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for Osogbo Federal Constituency, Marufu Adebayo Adewale has expressed his commitment to a peaceful and implementation of Governance Agenda for Inclusive Nigeria.

Adewale, who is fondly called Gangaria, made his commitment known when he received the VoteNotFight team who paid advocacy visit to him at his residence.

The candidate, while reacting, lauded the impacts of the VoteNotFight Campaign in Osun governorship election, describing the poll as the most peaceful in the history of Osun State.

The PDP candidate said, “what you’re doing is the best. I can attest to the success of this campaign in Osun State governorship election held in July. It remains the most peaceful in the history of Osun State.

“I commend your team and I hope we politicians listen to your advocacy. On our own, we are ready to work with you to ensure peaceful elections in Osun State.”

Earlier in his address, Team Lead of VoteNotFight in Osun and Executive Director of Insight Initiative for Community and Social Development, Jare Tiamiyu said the visit is part of the statewide move to ensure Osun records peace before, during and after the 2023 general elections. He urged the candidate to ensure he preaches peace during his campaign and caution his supporters from fanning embers of discord and violence.

Speaking on the GAIN Document, Tiamiyu said, “the document is about inclusiveness of youths, women and people with disabilities in governance. It’s a nationwide advocacy targeted at candidates of the leading political parties in the country”.

Highlights of the visit include signing of the VoteNotFight pledge card and also the GAIN Document by the candidate.
