Osun students laud CP Olokode over security on campuses

 

Students in Osun State under the aegis of the Nation Association of Nigerian Students, Osun Joint Campus Committee have commended the efforts of Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode towards securing the lives and properties in the State.

The students showered the encomium on the police boss during a press briefing in Osogbo at the weekend.

Addressing the newsmen, Chairman of NANS Osun JCC, Oyelayo Afeez Oyewole who was flanked by Salahudeen Abeebulahi, Secretary and Comrade Adekanmi Suleiman the Public Relations Officer.

The students said, “We are using this period NANS Osun Axis world press conference to commend the pivotal efforts of His Excellency Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the Osun State Commissioner of Police C.P Taoheed Olawale Olokode for Putting necessary mechanisms in place to further strengthen the security of Osun State by rescuing the state and residents from the hand of demagogue lovers of violence who takes unquantifiable solace in serving as a vicious weapon of disturbance to the state peaceful coexistence.

“We appreciate the Osun State Commissioner of Police for his ceaseless efforts in ensuring a safe atmosphere for Osun State students, as the student community never finds the Commissioner of Police wanting when needs arise.

It’s imperative to state that at the time of this press conference Osun State is rated one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, all credit to the working Governor and C.P Taoheed Olawale for the Exceptional security master plan.

“We appreciate the C.P display of gallantry during the time of crisis.
We appreciate his timely responsiveness to security challenges.

“NANS Osun as the most recognized and apex students body in Osun State hereby passes a vote of confidence on C.P Olawale’s leadership, as he relentlessly put everything in place in ensuring the security of lives and property of Osun citizens, though the past weeks has been security challenging for us as a state, we keenly believe that the present C.P possesses all the qualities and requirements to restore peace to part of Osun that are experiencing security quagmire and make Osun State the most peaceful state in Nigeria.”

The students also called for immediate resolution of issues that led to ASUU strike, stating that their precious time is being wasted.
