Our loyalty is unshakable – Adelugba, Pensioners group tell Oyetola, Owoeye

The leadership of the Stare of Osun House of Assembly has again received another commendation as the Osun State Triangular Group of Pensioners led by its Chairman, Prince Rotimi Adelugba on Thursday, 15th of August, 2019 paid a courtesy visit on the Speaker of the State of Osun House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye.

The purpose of the visit was to congratulate the Speaker on his election and to equally express their happiness over the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola at the Supreme Court on the petition filed by Senator Ademola Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party at the Osun 2018 Governorship Election Tribunal.

The group was represented by all State Executive members that spread over all Local Government of the State.

Speaking at the meeting with the Speaker, Prince Adelugba lauded Governor Gboyega Oyetola for keeping to his campaign promises that his administration would be committed to improving the welfares of all workers and pensioners in the state and promised to continue to give their unalloyed support to the current All Progressives Congress (APC) administration in the State.

Responding, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye expressed his appreciation on the mutual understanding that exists between the Triangular Group of Pensioners and the present day State of Osun government while giving all thanks and adoration to God that made it possible for the APC to continue to administer the State of Osun.

He emphasized that his position as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly has accorded him a responsibility that cut across the State and that he will have to draw from the wealth of knowledge of the aged and wise like many are found in the members of the Group.

He assured them that the government and the Osun House of Assembly shall continue to appreciate the manner of approach of the Triangular group even when some aggrieved group of pensioners took to the street.
