The premises of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Osun State headquarters Osogbo was agog on Monday, August 15th as the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Abdulganiy Olayinka Raji bids farewell after successful stay in the office.
Management and staff of the honoured Prof Raji, described him as a man of the People who brought many unprecedented achievements to the State office.
Raji’s who had previously served as REC in Ekiti State, only spent 10 months in Osun where he oversaw the last governorship election. He has completed his tenure having been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2017.
All members of the staff were full of praises to the outgoing REC, for always prioritizing their welfare during his stay in the State. They described his as someone who removed the tag of inconclusiveness from Osun election.
In his goodwill message, guest of the day, Professor Daudu Naibi described the outgoing REC as a man of impeccable character, stating that whatever good we do is what will speak for us either dead or alive.
He also speaks on honestly, loyalty, leadership and acknowledge good work as he who is thankful receive more as what will do should not be done half way for good begets good.
Some of the achievements of Prof Raji in his 10 month in charge include renovation of the state office building and all the 30 local government area offices, construction of walk way to media center
construction of concrete drive and construction of a driver and security lodge at the State office, among others.
In his appreciative speech, Raji thanked the staff and every well wisher, stating that he was overwhelmed by their display of love and support by staff of the State.
He said the All his achievements were possible as a result of support he enjoyed from all staff and management.
