Suicide is literally defined to be an act of intentionally causing one’s own death. As simple as the definition but as pathetic as the end result. Now we need to move forward on why such should be an option.
Restricting this pathetic piece to our Nation called Nigeria as the major concern where promising Youths have taken suicide as the only means of getting rid of their problem. It’s on record that cases of suicide grow more each year in Nigeria ranging from People taking insecticide, jumping into lagoons and others even with increase in remedying attempts by both Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations.
Research on suicide shows that, spiritual, medical, attack, worries and depression are all factors responsible for suicide.
Depression!
Hmmm, the real masquerade behind the scene. It must be stated again that depression is real. I have said it on countless times that, Nigeria is an intimidating Country. This is a nation where we mock with grade. The Government will intimidate the rich with power, the average suffers from the riches while the poorer ones always think there is no God or not been fair enough. Those with University Certificate regards Polytechnic graduates as auxiliary, those from colleges suffer from HND graduates while those without education are not only been inferior but useless according to our own thinking. Nobody will approach you if you are ugly and they keep breaking Miss Beauty’s heart. People with disabilities are not meant to enjoy life whereas the able men suffer. What a Nation we live in!
Still on depression!
Aunty, you’ve started dating since 10 years ago, he is handsome, caring, rich, already introduced you to her Parents but suddenly decline you for another lady.
My brother, you mean she cheated on you after all you’ve done for her?. What about your poor grade, the failed interview. Oh! Your uncle failed to fulfill his promise to finance your education or is it about your failed visa application. Sir, do you mean that you were once rich, as in you deserve to win that elective position the other man is enjoying, is it about the sickness that surface immediately after your Boss sack you or you are talking about the embarrassment you receive from the office today.
What about the debt, single mother that needs to pay children school fees and at the same time been chase by Landlord. Oh! Your marriage clocks seven years already but no Children?
Hmm! They are worth worry about, they indeed worth it.
Sir, do you know there is more to life? I mean apart from been a Sin for someone to take his or her life by himself, suicide cause more harm than been a solution. Suicide put family in disarray, the Blessing you are meant to be to others gone, so there is tendency of more suicide because they are meant to succeed through You
Whatever the ugly situation you are, just turn to God. He alone has the solution to everything you maybe going through. The next seconds to your suicide is yours to make it.
