Tension in Osun as suspected ritualists kill 55-year-old woman, take away head, hands

 

There is palpable tension for in Modakeke, Ife East Area Council of Osun State as some suspected ritualists murdered a 55-year-old woman.

It was gathered that the victim, identified simply as Iya Elekure, was lured into a house at Ogbingbin area of Ife, while hawking in the area and was killed.

According to police source, the victim’s head and hands have been cut off and taken away by her assailants.

It was gathered that the apartment where the incident happened was burnt down by angry youths. While the remains was retrieved by victim’s son for burial according to Islamic rites. To

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, stating that State Criminal Investigation Department has commenced comprehensive investigation into the matter.
