Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has declared that the state is always proud of the knowledge and analytical skills possess by the permanent secretary, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole.

Governor Oyetola made the declaration yesterday in Modakeke, area of the State, the country home of the SUBEB PS, where the Governor conducted the official launch of a book written in honour of the Alhaji Kolawole, titled Òmólúàbí Àtátá, by a veteran broadcast journalist with Osun State Radio Broadcasting Corporation, Tajudeen Akanni.

In a speech delivered by Hon. Rasak Adeosun, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs who represented the Governor said “people’s perception of a person is a strong way of clinically accessing their character. Two credible sources attest to the character and personality of Alhaji Kolawole -The State of Osun where he has spent his entire career life and is still serving, and the biography that we are laughing today, which codifies his journey and activities in life”

“At work front, Alhaji Kolawole demonstrates integrity, hard work, loyalty and unbridled commitment. For him, no sacrifice is too much for the good of the State of Osun. He is also a man who combines huge relational skills with professional standard”

“For a man to live a life that is worthy of a book, he must have exuded exemplary characteristics and personality that are worthy emulation by the people. Coming from a humble background, Alhaji Kolawole has refused to allow the vicissitudes of life to stop him from achieving destiny. By dint of hard work and faith in God, he has striven to make indelible landmarks in multiple spheres of life as captured in this book”

Oyetola advised the youths of the state to emulate Alhaji Kolawole as they strive to live a life of purpose and value as he described him as a worthy role model and mentor.

The Governor, who said the concept of Omoluabi typifies the values of discipline, honour, integrity, hard work, personal sacrifice, service to humanity and other virtues that are humanity targeted and it is ascribed to an individual who exudes these noble qualities, Oyetola thanked Alhaji Kolawole for giving purpose and unique definition to the Omoluabi ethos that exemplify the State of Osun.

“We are proud of Alhaji Kolawole and I thank him for giving purpose and unique definition to the Omoluabi ethos that exemplifies the State of Osun.

Governor Oyetola, however, thanked the author of the book, Mr. Tajudeen Akanni, for availing the society and posterity the contributions of Alhaji Kolawole to humanity.

In a brief chat with the author, Mr. Tajudeen Akanni, who spoke with newsmen on what informed his decision to write the book described Fatai Kolawole as an exemplary public servant and community leader of note whose ways of worth being emulated by all including the unborn generations, hence, the decision to document such a perfect example of gentleman and cheerful giver.

Speaking specifically on the book, Akanni said, the book which was written in Yoruba contains five chapters with each dwelling on specifics of the topnotch educationist ranging from his family lineage, upbringing, career and people’s observation about him.

He enjoined all and sundry to get a copy of the book as the content and quality of the production is second to none.

Besides the book launch, the heartthrob of the SUBEB boss, Alhaja Mujidat Kolawole, was yesterday installed as Yeye Oluomo of Modakeke by His Royal Majesty, Oba Moses Oyediran, the Ogunsua of Modakekeland alongside three others eminent indigenes of the town.

The Chieftaincy honour was in recognition of the many decades of the pragmatic businesswoman contributions to the development of Modakeke and its people without any discrimination whatsoever.

Dignitaries from all walks of life including political functionaries, traditional rulers, lord justices, top civil servants, business tycoons, religion leaders among others were in attendance.
