Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Sunday joined the like of Senator Dino Melaye, Ben Murray-Bruce, Pop stars Olamide Adedeji, Simi and Folarin Falana (Falz) to protest the brutality and uncivil actions of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Officers in the country.
The #EndSARS campaign which had over 100,000 tweets on Sunday received the support of other social media bigwigs like JJ Omojuwa, Reno Omokri and others.
Atiku commended the young individuals who started the peaceful online campaign and urge the Nigeria Police to heed to the yearning of Nigrerians.
“I commend our young people for protesting these injustices peacefully online, and encourage the IG of @PoliceNG to take these complaints seriously. I also urge the National Assembly to look into these complaints, and address the human rights issues. Reforms are urgently needed”.
