A group called Vanguard for Democracy has declared its support for the aspiration of Mr. Tunde Taiwo to become the next governor of Osun state.
The group made this declaration on Tuesday after its meeting in Osogbo in a statement by its chairman, Comrade Abeeb Alowonle, a copy of which was obtained by InsightMedia in Osogbo.
The group explained that its decision was a result of rigorous examination of all the candidates vying to succeed the incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola and found out that, “Taiwo has the best and most progressive agenda capable of propelling the state to enviable heights.
The statement reads, “Having done the X-ray of all the aspirants vying to succeed our working governor, it became obvious that Tunde Taiwo has a real, progressive and best developmental agenda for the state.
“The political and administrative acumen and experience of Taiwo are highly respected and unmatched by his colleagues. We believe that, as good citizens with political knowledge of where we are coming from and where we are going in the area of technology, empowerment, infrastructures and education in Osun. We need a man if his calibre to take over from our visionary Aregbesola, who has reposition our state and set a model for others to follow.
“Taiwo’s international exposure is a great addition to the state and if tapped in to, it has the capabilities to turn Osun economic around,” the group added.
The group called on APC party hierarchy and citizens to support inwards and support Taiwo.
Alowonle also called on people to obtain their voters card and be ready to carry out their civic right come September this year.
