The Yoruba Youth Council has condemned the burning of the farm that belongs to one out f the Yoruba leaders, Chief Olu Falae.

This is contained in a statement by its Osun State chapter President, Kazeem Olanrewaju and made available to InsightMedia in Osogbo.

The council describes the attack as barbaric and strongly unacceptable and call on President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency call his clansmen to order before the situation lead to ethnic fight.

“The Yoruba Youth Council condemns the barbaric and unacceptable attack made by the Fulani herdsmen in Chief Olu Falae.

“It should be recalled that this is not the first time the farm of our respected and respectable leader would be attacked on his farm, in fact, he has been kidnapped by herdsmen a while ago.

“If somebody as highly placed as Chief Falae is suffering this type of attack from the hands of visitors to Yorubaland and nothing tangible is done to arrest the ugly situation, it means all Yorubas are not safe again on their land.

“Wevcall on President Muhammadu Buhari to call these herdsmen to order before the situation gets out of hands as we will not allow our accommodating spirit to become modern slavery.”

Olanrewaju also called the security agencies, National Assembly and other stakeholders concerned to find lasting solutions to the hatred before it leads to ethnic fight.
