Barrister Femi Kehinde, a gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the Alliance for Democracy has said that one of the cardinal focuses of his administration is to bring back wealth and prosperity to Osun State.

Kehinde, a former member of the House of Representative, who represented Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency (1999-2003), made this known yesterday while fielding from questions from InsightMedia correspondents in his country home, Ile-Ogbo in Ayedire Local Government.

He said “I will drive prosperity in to the state through good governance. If there is good governance there will be equitable management of public funds and wealth. In my administration, we will talk less of politics and more of governance. We will create prosperity through agriculture and mining- which is not been focused. We will enhance and encourage mechanized farming as a means of credible source of revenue.”

“We also want to rejuvenate and rebuild our youths into gainful employment through creation of farm settlements with modern living equipments to make life comfortable for them. The agricultural blessings of Osun state will be adequately utilized. To further make the agricultural sector a stronghold, we are going to establish Marketing boards, which are going to be in charge of the import and export of the farm products produced in the state.”

While speaking on revenue generation, the former parliamentarian said “We have plans for zero dependence on revenue coming from the Federal government; such will only be an addition to the income being generated internally from the state. The new government in Osun state under my watch, will invest into mining and agriculture, and would re-engineer and re-energize the populace towards the advantages that are derivable in an agrarian economy.

The seasoned legal practitioner assures the people of Osun that, if elected the next governor of the state come September 2018, he will ensure his blueprints which is the culmination of efforts of distinguished and eminent people in the academia, professional groups and critical stakeholders, will articulate the policies that will certainly reinvent Osun state and make it once a again a beacon of light in progressive governance and also in the accomplishment of life that will be more abundant for the citizens of the state.
