Dr. Olayinka Taofeeq Ayinde, Osun 2018 governorship aspirant, has that he is the latest revelation in political atmosphere of the state.
Ayinde, an aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress, stated this in Ikirun while holding a meeting with some party elders in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
The Iwo-born politician revealed that he is strategically positioned and psychologically fit to succeed the incumbent governor Rauf Aregbesola come November this year.
Ayinde added that he is the only aspirant from Iwo that can be used as candidate of the party who will deliver the highest possible votes for the APC in the forthcoming election.
“The fact that I’m from Osun West is not just enough. I have the experience in politics and in particular in Osun State as I was a follower of late Chief Bola Ige and I campaigned actively for Chief Olu Falae in 1999 and later contested for House of Assembly and House of Representatives at various times,” he said.
“In fact, it was the death of Chief Bola Ige and the nature of my job that reduced my participation in politics to the ward level from where we delivered the highest votes per polling unit in my polling unit, that is APC 177 votes against Accord 1 vote in the just concluded parliamentarian council election in the state,” he concluded.
