The Ilobu National Students’ Union, National Headquarters has concluded all the necessary arrangements to her maiden edition of Leadership Summit.

The programme according to the Local Organizing Committee Chairman, Comrade Qomarudeen Salahudeen will hold on Saturday, May 5th at the newly renovated and spacious Ilobu House Complex in the ancient town of Ilobu.

Salahudeen added that the sole aim of the programme among several others is that the present administration under the leadership of Salahudeen Teslim considered the major problem we face in the country as leadership challenge and wants to contribute to the building of 21st century leaders.

“We have put everything in place to present an unprecedented leadership summit which is slated to hold on 5th of May, 2018 in which we are expecting 500 participants ranging from students of higher institutions of learning, students’ leaders, neighboring unions and eminent personalities across the state and South West region of Nigeria.

“Our broad goal of this Summit is to provide avenue in which Nigerian Youths especially Students’ union and their regional organizations may develop a consensus
policy and action document on leadership training, with a
focus on issues pertaining to leadership and development. Priorities will be given to education (especially higher education for all), women’s participation in education and the student movements”, he concluded.

The Keynote speaker of the event is a professor of economics from University of Lagos, Femi Shuaib who will be discussing “Investment in youths as a bedrock of development.

Other guest speakers expected are Mr. Dare Alabi from Osun Central Education District Office, Ila-Orangun, Special Adviser to the governor of Osun State on Public Service, Productivities and Due Process, Ademola Adeyinka and Dr. Michael Olugbile who is the Senior Technical Adviser to Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The programme is scheduled for 10am.
