A disc jockey Lotachukwu Nwagboso,was killed by a stray bullet while performing at a funeral ceremony in Ndikpo Umuaku Uli, Ihiala local government area of Anambra state.
Nwagboso, father of four, 34 was hired to play music at the burial ceremony of one Evangelist Vitalis Ihemeje and was allegedly gunned down by one Ibeanozie, who is presently at large.
The owner of the gun put it on his motorcycle and as he wanted to start the bike, the gun went off, killing the victim at the spot.
The eyewitness said the incident, which caused pandemonium at the burial, sparked off outrage as youths of Ndikpo went on rampage, destroying property and pulling down houses belonging to the suspect, as well as those of the family that organized the ceremony of their father.
The Police Public Relations Officer of Anambra, Princess Nkiruka Nwode, confirmed the the incident and warned the community leaders to be mindful of who they appoint as members of vigilante group.
