An APC Gubernatorial Hopeful in 2018 Osun election, Atayese Benedict Olugboyega Alabi BOA has described Jagunmolu of Owu Ile Kingdom, Chief Amitolu Shittu as a symbol of progressivism whose contributions towards entrenching good governance in Nigeria is unquantifiable.

The statement noted with satisfaction the role of Chief Amitolu in ensuring that Nigeria returned to a democratic governance saying his antecedents in activism are very difficult to forget.
BOA, while praying to God to keep Amitolu to continue serving God and humanity also urged the upcoming right activists to borrow a leaf in Amitolu’s belief about life that “Rome was not built in a day”
