Prerogative of Focus Educative Association, a non-governmental organization in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area of Osun state on Saturday staged an inter-school debate for High Schools in the Ilobu.

The competition which was held inside the Ilobu National Students’ Union secretariat recorded the participation of five schools public and private schools in the area.

The Schools are Ilobu High School 1, Ilobu High School 2, Galaxy Model College, Ridwanullahi Model College and Ibadullahi Caliphate College all in Ilobu.

After eloquent and brilliant delivery by two participants representing each school, Galaxy Model Model College emerged the winners with Ridwanullahi Model College taking the first runner-up position. Ilobu High School 3 completed the top three spots.

President of the association, Comrade Ibrahim  Naheem Olatunde commended the members of the association, schools and visitors for their presence. He reiterated the commitment of the association to service to humanity and uplift of the community.

He said “On behalf of my colleagues at the Prerogative of Focus Educative Association, I want to appreciate all the schools and invited guests, most especially the Panel of Judges who were just contacted yesterday and made it to the programme. I really appreciate them.

“Our association was founded on the basis of improving the educational standard of our junior colleagues and to eradicate phobia of face crowd and we promise to strict to this and bring more educational programmes to pursue this goal.

Also speaking just after the event is the pioneer President of the association, Comrade Salahudeen Teslim commended the diligence and vibrancy of his successor for piloting the affairs of organizing the programme and urged him to do more. He explained that he developed his confidence through his participation in events like such.

While presenting prizes to all the participants, the President of Ilobu National Students’ Union, Comrade Haliyu Razaq Opeyemi commended the brilliance of all the speakers for their eloquent delivery and content-based speeches. He further presented a special prize from the INSU to the Best speaker in the contest, Mudasiru Nafisat, a student of Ridwanullahi model College.
