Students from different institutions across the country on Thursday stormed the Three Arms Zone complex of National Assembly to protest the prolonged industrial action of joint action committee of university.

The JAC comprises of Non-academic Staff Union, National Association of Academics Technicians and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities.
“We are embarking on this protest to express our displeasure over the prolonged industrial action of Joint Action Committee of university.

Speaking with InsightMedia at the entrance of the National Assembly, the leader of the team, Abdulmumin Umar, a student of Federal University, Lafia lamented bitterly over the ongoing strike action in different campuses.

He said, “We are tired of only having academics staff in our schools. Our clinics are closed and the learning atmosphere is very bad in our schools this moment.

“We also need to express our dissatisfaction over what JAMB has turned to. JAMB is now a money making organization for Federal Government. The rate if form nowadays is too exorbitant.

The protesters,who are armed with placards with different inscriptions, urged the National Assembly to step in to the matters before it is too late.
