Nigerians on social media have been reacting to the statement made by the special adviser on media and publicity to the president, Mr Femi Adesina on the matter of kidnapped Dapchi girl’s return.
On a popular Channels TV morning programme, Adesina was asked when Leah Sharibu would be rescued from Boko Haram. He said, “When will she be back? That question can only be answered by God, but I believe that God is interested in that young girl,” he said.
“The Government is working on and at it, and we believe she will be back.”
Since his statement, Twitter users have been sharing their own opinions.

Femi Adesina shouldn’t be laughing this much during an interview where he is mainly talking about a kidnapped teenager, Lean Sharibu who has been in captivity for month.

Maope: How Long will Leah Sharibu remain with the abductors?
Femi Adesina: Hmmmmmm. Only God can answer that.

I’m still confused by the high-level negotiations that allowed Islamic terrorists to keep a Christian girl, Leah Sharibu, whilst returning all the other girls.
I pray for Leah’s safe and speedy return. My heart goes out to her and her loved ones.

We are aware of the audio in circulation concerning the unfortunate situation of our daughter, Leah Sharibu. In dealing with terrorists, nothing is too trivial.
